Obituary of Gwendolyn Wynell Willis-Sargent

Gwendolyn “Guinea” Sargent was born May 24, 1950 to the union of Gwendolyn Willis and Felton Willis Sr in Rusk, Texas. She received her formal education at John F. Kennedy H.S in 1968. She then furthered her education at SMU where she received a bachelor’s degree in 1978, while completing her degree Gwendolyn pledge as a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Gwendolyn then married her Husband Raymond Sargent in 1980. She served the Lord faithfully and was a member of Mesquite Friendship Baptist Church. She worked for Dallas Police Department for as a Police Officer and remained a faithful employee for 32 years, before she retired. Gwendolyn loved life. Her smile was infectious and her personality filled with passion and vibrancy. She had a loving spirit. Her loving smile brought so much joy to everyone. Even in illness, her loving kindness reminded us of the preciousness of life. Gwendolyn’s memorable life will forever live on in the hearts of her loved ones. Gwendolyn Willis Sargent departed this life August 21, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Sargent and parents. She leaves to cherish her memories, one daughter, Chelsea Sargent; Two-grandsons, Zavius Alexander and Ayden Alexander; One brother Felton Willis Jr. and a host of other relatives and friends, —————————————————
