Obituary of Lee Johnson
On October 29, 1942, God blessed K.C. and Fannie Mae Johnson with a beautiful baby boy to whom they gave the name Lee Leavester Johnson.
He graduated from James Madison High School in 1960. He attended Mountain View College in 1987.
On August 4, 1990, he met and fell in love with Caroll. In 1992, he professed a faith in Christ and united with the Galilee Missionary Baptist Church where he was baptized under the leadership of Rev. Leonard R. Davis.
Lee retired from Vought after working there for 30 years. Lee loved playing golf and participated in many tournaments, winning several trophies. Another passion of his was working in the yard with Caroll.
On the morning of Saturday, April 4, 2015, at Charleston Methodist Hospital in Dallas, Texas, Lee began his journey. Lee was preceded in death by his father, K.C. Johnson, and his mother, Fannie Mae Boyd.
Those who remain to meet him in the rapture and to cherish his memories forever are the love of his life, a loving, caring soul mate of 24 years, Caroll Ann Roland; three daughters, Tina Johnson (Kevin Morgan), Sherry Johnson (Joseph Woods), and Antoinette Thompson (Frederick); four grandchildren, Delicia Johnson, Michelle McKie (Sheldon), Joseph A. Woods, and Jeremiah Thompson; two great-grandchildren, Quinneton Johnson and Delaysia Travis, all of Dallas, Texas; a sister, Monica Vasher of Texarkana, Texas; one brother, Ronnie Johnson of Washington; and a host of other relatives and friends.
