Obituary of Bishop Webber Jr.
Bishop Webber, Jr. was born April 2, 1929, in Carthage, Texas. He was the seventh child born to the late Bishop Webber, Sr. and Nan Gipson Webber. Bishop was raised in Carthage, Texas, and Wills Point, Texas. Bishop was educated in the Wayside School House in Carthage, Texas, and later moved to Wills Point, Texas.
On May 24, 1958, he married Kathryn L. Tucker. Bishop and Kathryn moved to Dallas, Texas, in 1962, and returned to Wills Point in 1998. They remained together until Kathryn’s death in 2005.
Bishop retired from Avery Mays Construction Company in 1986.
Badam enjoyed fishing, barbecuing, family reunions and spending time with his family. He accepted Christ at an early age. Badam was a member of Wesley Chapel Baptist Church until he united with Kathryn’s congregation at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. He was a faithful member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church until his death.
Badam was preceded in death by his parents, Bishop and Nan Webber; wife, Kathryn L. Webber; sisters, Inez Sledge, Annie Bell Tucker, Erma Lee Smith, Betty Sue Asher and Claudia Sudds; brothers, William Webber, John L. Webber and Lincoln Webber; and son, Ronnie Frazier.
Bishop’s cherished memories will continue to live in the hearts of his family: his daughters, Debra Webber, Yolanda Webber, Tenekki Webber, all of Dallas, Texas; son, Deontay Webber, of Dallas, Texas; brother-in-law, Odis Tucker, of Lancaster, Texas; sisters-in-law, Emma Lyons (Bobby), of Rowlett, Ritha Jackson, of Desoto, Winnie Lyons (Emmett), of Wills Point, Deloris Webber, of Dallas; aunt, Johnnie Woods, of Dallas; grandchildren, Shemeka Marsh (Larry), Dexter Baker, Jr., SheVeal Baker, Keilan Peterson, Kayla Alexander, Kandy Frazier, Alisha Frazier, Destiny Owens (Jerion), Treasure Webber, Dylan Webber, Dorian Webber; great-grandchildren, Vialette Ferguson, Prentavious Morehead, Michael Haggerty, Jr., Brynia Baker, Aaliyah Baker, Andria Marshall, Brianna Frazier, Jeramie Moore; great-great-grandchild, Princeton Morehead; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
