Obituary of Edna Stubblefield Edna Pearl Stubblefield was born to the union of the late Wash Burns and Lula Mae Burns on May 8, 1940, in Grapeland, Texas. She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age at Cedar Branch Baptist Church. Her elementary education began in Houston County, where she later graduated from W. R. Banks High School. In 1961, Edna united in Holy Matrimony to her loving husband, Mr. Clarence H. Stubblefield and to this union four children were born. She was a long term employee of The University of Texas where she later retired. She leaves to mourn: two sons, Frederick K. Stubblefield (Marilyn) and Tony H. Stubblefield (Sandra); three daughters, Jenifer D. Stubblefield, Edna L. Cunningham and Latonya D. Stubblefield; two brothers, James Burns and Billy Burns; three sisters, Verdie B. Tryon, Bobbie J. Scott and Alice F. Matthews; and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren and friends.
