Obituary of Matilda Johnson Matilda Johnson was born in Bryan, Texas to the parentage of the late George and Delia Johnson. She received her formal education in the Brownwood Public Schools. Sh e later met and married Mr. Clyde Edward Johnson , October 31, 1942 and to this union two children were born. They lived in matrimony for fifty years. She united with the Southern Hills Church of Christ under the ministry of the late Bro. A.C. Christman Sr. she was a member of the Southern Hills Adult Chorus and remained a faithful member until her health began to fail. Matilda had a zest for life. Those who were close to Matilda were touched by her loving spirit and thoughtfulness. Her loving smile brought so much joy to everyone. Her loving kindness reminded us of the preciousness of life. Matilda's memorable life will forever live on in the hearts of her loved ones. Matilda entered eternal rest on February 5, 2015. She is preceded in death by her husband. She leaves to cherish her life and legacy, two children, Raymond Johnson of San Bernardino, CA and Claudette Johnson of Dallas, Texas, four grandchildren, Michael Johnson, Jumor Johnson, Ausette Johnson and Hayley Johnson , a host of cousins, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
