Obituary of Robert K Edwards

Obituary of Robert Edwards Robert Kenneth Edwards was born in Navarro County, Kerens, Texas to the parentage of the late Willie Edwards and Miss Berthina Monroe-Edwards. Robert, also known as "Buttercup" to his family and friends, graduated from Park High School in the Kerens Independent School District. Robert married Alene Glover on December 9, 1960, and to this union one son was born, Dwayne J. Edwards. Robert was a member of Saintsville Church of God in Christ in Dallas, Texas, where he served on the Usher Ministry. He worked for Wyeth Pharmaceuticals for many years before retiring. Robert passed away on January 29, 2015 in Dallas Texas. Two of his brothers, Willie Edwards, Jr. of Waco, Texas and J.C. Edwards of Portland, Oregon, as well as three of his sisters, Frances "Patty" Watson of Houston, Texas, Maxine "Honey" Castle of Fort Worth, Texas, and Shirley Toliver of Dallas, Texas, preceded him in death. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife Alene Glover-Edwards, one son, Dwayne (Shelley) Edwards, and one grandson, Cody Edwards; three sisters, Birdie (Perry) Wilson, Margaret (Dallas) Banks, and Doris Edwards; two brothers, Percy (Jean) Edwards and Sammy (Lena) Edwards, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
