Obituary of Fredrick Lawrence Green

Obituary of Fredrick Green Fredrick Lawrence Green Sr. was born September 6, 1948, in Dallas, Texas, to the parentage of Willie E. (deceased) and Wilhelmina Green. He accepted Christ at an early age. After graduating from Lincoln High School in 1967, he briefly attended Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas, and thereafter, volunteered and entered into the United States Army on December 26, 1968. After leaving the military in 1970 with an Honorable Discharge, he encountered high school classmate, Patricia A. Tubbs, and they were united in Holy Matrimony in 1971. To this union, two children were born. He shortly thereafter accepted a job with the US Postal Service, where he served as a Carrier for 33 years, retiring in 2008. Fred, the name most friends called him, was a faithful member of First Christian Methodist Evangelistic Church, where he served as a Steward and member of the Male Chorus until his health failed. He leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Patricia A. Green; mother, Wilhelmina A. Green; children, Victor L. Tubbs, Fredrick L. Green Jr. (Crystal), Kim Green, and Lisa McKee-Holmes; brother, Ralph T. Green; sister Ruth H. Lipscomb (Kenneth); a very special friend, Robert Waddle; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two nieces, Darrya and Raphaelle; one nephew, Ryan; FCME Church Family and a host of other relatives and friends.
