Obituary of Tanya Berkins Tanya Marie "Nana" Berkins was born June 2, 1960, in Dallas, Texas, to the parentage of Don Berkins and Brenda Berkins. Tanya attended Bishop Dunne High School. She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior. Tanya was employed by CVS/Caremark, working as their account manager. Tanya loved family gatherings at her house and playing cards. She had a love for laughter and a sharp tongue that was always used with love. She touched the hearts of everyone she came in contact with. Her courage and strong will to live was extraordinary. Tanya was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Johnnie Larkin and David Berkins; grandparents, Raphael and Pauline Wright; and her daughter, Tifney Berkins. She leaves to cherish her memories, her mother, Brenda Berkins; her father, Don Berkins and stepmother, Barbara; grandmother, Ellen Larkin; her life companion for 38 years, Glen Boyd; Glen's two sons, David and Torey Dawson; grandchildren, Tailor Simp-son, Jordan Simpson and Louis Simpson; sister, Sonya Rose and husband, Greg; brother, David Berkins and wife, Takeila; nieces, Alex Rose and Stormey Berkins; stepsisters, Kathy Gwynn and husband, Garth, and Kim Cox and husband, Jim; stepbrother, Keith Smith and wife, Lupita; and a host of cousins and friends.
