Obituary of Dorothy Grismore Washington

Dorothy Grismore Washington was a loving mother and grandmother. She was born on January 13, 1934, to the parentage of Sam and Maudie Grismore. She was the baby of the Grismore Family. Dorothy passed away into the arms of Christ on Sunday, June 30, 2019. Dorothy accepted Christ as a young girl and was a good and faithful member of Holy Cross Catholic Church. She graduated from Booker T. Washington High School, Prairie View A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing, and from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work in 1997. She worked as a nurse and as a social worker throughout her professional career. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Maudie Grismore; five brothers, and one sister. She leaves to cherish her memory: one son, Eric E.Thompson; two granddaughters, Candace and Megan Thompson; one godson, Eric Bullock; and numerous other relatives and friends.
