Obituary of Delois Darthard Delois W. Darthard was the youngest daughter of Ivory Bell and John Williams Sr. She was born in Marshall, Texas November 10, 1929. At an early age, she accepted Christ as her personal Savior, and it was that Christian spirit that carried her to Glory. She served on many church boards and organizations with Magnolia C.M.E Church where she was a dedicated member. On February 15, 1947, she married the love of her life Albert Leon Darthard, and in their union raised five sons, one daughter and one grand-daughter. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great great -grandmother to her family and beyond. Her strength, sense of humor and overall warm presence has touched so many, leaving us to admire and love her always. On Thursday, March 27, 2014, God in his infinite wisdom called his daughter home and her eighty-four years in His vineyard came to an end. Her husband Albert Leon Darthard and daughter Christine Darthard Woods preceded her in death. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, carry on her legacy, and celebrate her new life, is her loving family; her children James Williams, Stoney Darthard, Norwin Darthard, Vernon Darthard, David Darthard, grand children, great-grand children, and great great-grand children; and one brother John Williams Jr. along with a host of nieces and nephews other relatives and friends.
