Obituary of Cornelius Wilson Cornelius Wilson was born on the 4th of February 1948. He was the last of six children to Harry O. and Susie E. Berry Wilson Sr. in Birmingham, Alabama. He received his formal education in the Public Schools of Birmingham graduating from Parker High School. He attended Bishop College where he met and married Alvah Joyce Dyer "Peaches" and to this union they were blessed with a daughter, Charyl Denise. He later united in matrimony to Hattie Ruth Stanfield. This union lasted for 30years, until her death. His smile was infectious and his personality filled with passion and vibrancy. Those who were close to him were touched by his loving spirit and thoughtfulness. Knowing him helped you understand that it is the quality of one's existence that far exceeds the quantity of time lived. His loving smile brought so much joy to everyone. His loving kindness reminded us of the preciousness of life. Cornelius's memorable life will forever live on in the hearts of his loved ones. Cornelius was a compassionate, thoughtful and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. His memorable life will forever live on in the hearts of his loved ones. Cornelius departed this life October 22, 2013. He is preceded in death by his wife Hattie Ruth, mother, Susie, father, Harry O. Sr., a sister and his step-father. The celebration of his life and legacy continues with his daughter, Charyl Denise James, 3 granddaughters, Jacquelyn Elain Taplin (Treveyon), Myeisha Lynette Rasheed (Joshua) and Nandi Idalis James, five great grandchildren, 3 brothers and 1 sister, Harry Wilson, Barbara Wilson, William Wilson and Freeman Wilson a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
