Obituary of Marian Naomi Lang Adams

Obituary of Marian Lang Adams Mrs. Marian Naomi Lang Adams was born November 10, 1930 to Hulan L. Lang and Annie L. Lang in Dallas, Texas. She confessed Christ at an early age at Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church of Dallas, Texas. She attended public schools in Dallas, Texas, graduating from Lincoln High School in 1948. Shortly after graduation, Marian moved to Austin, Texas to attend Huston-Tillitson College. There she met and married a young Army veteran, Otis C. Adams. The young couple moved to Houston, Texas where two daughters and one son were born and educated. The coupled divorced in 1966. Marian worked for several families in the Houston area before going to work for Neiman-Marcus as a PBX operator. She worked for Neiman-Marcus for more than 20 years, retiring in 1995. After retirement she enjoyed working in her yard and spending time with family and friends. While living in Houston, Marian served the Lord at Holman Street Baptist Church and Saint Agnes Baptist Church. She moved to Dallas in 2004 where she became a faithful member of Christ the Cornerstone Community Church under the leadership of Rev. Otis G. Adams. She moved her membership to Cornerstone Baptist Church in 2012. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hulan and Annie Lang, a brother Dr. Harold W. Lang, a brother Allen R. Lang, a sister Evelyn Graves, a sister Vivian Dorn, granddaughter Barbara Adams and longtime companion, Jesse Crawford. She leaves to cherish her memory: Son, Rev Otis G. Adams (Ann) of Houston, Texas; Daughters, Delores M. Adams of Amarillo, Texas and Cynthia A. Adams of, Lancaster, Texas: one sister, Marguerite E. Rowe of Dallas, Texas; granddaughters, Brandi N. Adams, and Yakisha Taylor and grandson, Terrance St. Romaine; nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
