Obituary of Roverda Carmile Byrom

Obituary of Roverda Byrom Roverda Carmilie R. Byrom was born to the parentage of the late Manuel and Lillian Ryan in New Orleans, Louisiana. She confessed a belief in Jesus Christ as her personal savior at an early age. She received her undergraduate degree from Southern University, Baton Rouge, Louisiana. After graduation, she joined her parents who had relocated to Dallas, Texas. While at Southern she met her future husband the late MacCharles Byrom of Chicago, Illinois. To this union two sons were born. She later earned a Masters' degree from Prairie View University. Roverda was an Elementary school teacher in DISD for over forty years until her retirement. She loved teaching young children and youth. She was also employed part-time at Neiman Marcus for over fifty years. She was a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority. She became a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church under the Pastorate of E.C. Estelle. She enjoyed teaching Vacation Bible School as well as attending Sunday school. She also served on the Deaconess Board C. She is survived by her two sons; Donald ad his wife Rosie, Kenneth and his wife Claudette; Brother, Percy Ryan; one Granddaughter Tamiko; three Grandsons, Kenan, Jamil (Chimberly) and Kelston; and one great granddaughter, Kae'Lynn all of Dallas, along with a host of loving Nieces, Nephews and faithful friends.
