Obituary of William Tucker JR. William Richmond Tucker, Jr. was born on October 25, 1936. He was the first born to William Richmond Tucker, Sr. (Tang) and Paralee English Tucker of Wills Point, Texas. William Jr., known as "Tuck", was educated in the Cartwright Schools of Wills Point and graduated from Cartwright High School in 1955. He attended Prairie View A&M University for two years. Tuck grew up attending Pleasant Hill Baptist Church where he accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age. Following his adventurous nature, Tuck migrated from Wills Point during his young adulthood establishing residency in Dallas, Texas, Montreal and Toronto, Canada, Mobile Alabama and Hawthorne, California. When he returned home, Tuck re-established his membership with Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, where he served faithfully until he answered The Call to move to his permanent home early on July 1,2013. At that time, Tuck was serving as President ofPleasant Hill's Male Chorus. He was a member ofthe mass choir, and Assistant Superintendent of Sunday School. Tuck was a former member ofthe Finance Trustee Board at Pleasant Hill and a former member ofthe Gates ofJoy. Decorating his Wall ofFame are numerous Certificates of Awards for his Service to Pleasant Hill. Tuck was willing to serve in any capacity needed. Tuck's passions included a love for God, a love for his family, a love for his church, a love for people, a love for western movies, and a love for fishing. To his family, he was simple, he was funny and he was fun. He was our warden or disciplinarian. He had a natural knack for keeping all ofthe children laughing, but he always exercised strict discipline. With a subservient behavior, Tuck utilized his skills working as a handy man. At the time of his departure, he was supervisor ofthe ground maintenance employees with the First Monday Flea Market in Canton, Texas. His parents, 1 sister, Kathryn Webber (Kat), I brother, Lincoln Roy Wright, and Beloved Friend, Inez Moore preceded him in death. Precious memories will continue to live in the hearts ofhis son, Emmett Moore, Sr. (Karen). Brothers: Odis Tucker and Joseph McMilJan, Sisters: Emma Lyons (Bobby), Ritha Jackson and Julie Lyons (Emmett, Sr.): Brother -in-Law: Bishop Webber, Jr., Children ofLove; L. Denise Moore and Eric Moore, Sr.: Grand Children; Rena, Seren and Emmett, Jr.: Great Grand Children; Isaiah and Malachi, numerous nieces and nephews and a host ofother relatives and friends.
