Obituary of Willie Horace King

Obituary of Willie King Willie Horace King Sr., was born on the 25th of June 1923 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. He received his formal education in the Muskogee Public Schools Later served his country honorably in the United States Army during World War II. He received decorations and citations: American Defense Service Medal, American Theater Campaign Medal, and EAME Campaign Medal with 4 bronze stars Good Conduct Medal, and Victory Ribbon 4 Overseas Service Bars. He retired after many years as a warehouse attendant. He united in Holy Matrimony to the former Doris Blakely and to this union three children were born. Willie accepted Christ at an early age. He was a faithful member of Good Street Baptist Church where he served on the Deacon Board. He had a personality filled with passion and vibrancy. Those who were close to Willie were touched by his loving spirit . Knowing Willie helped you understand that it is the quality of one's existence that far exceeds the quantity of time lived. He is preceded in death by his mother. The celebration of his life and legacy continues with his wife, Doris King, loving daughters, Alfreda Caraway and Kathleen Goodson, son, Willie Horace King Jr. 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, brother, Lee Artis Cole and a host of other relatives and friends.
