Obituary of Clarence Leroy Dennard II

Clarence LeRoy “Big D” Dennard II was born on August 29, 1954, to Etta Brazelton Dennard and Clarence Dennard in Dallas, Texas.
He graduated from Franklin D. Roosevelt High School, where he excelled in football and basketball. He was one of the star players on Roosevelt’s 1972 Basketball State Championship team. He received a scholarship to play football at Southern Methodist University, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree from the Edwin Cox School of Business. After graduation, he played pro football for the Jacksonville Firebirds.
After the death of his parents, he dedicated the rest of his life to caring for his sister, Sherrell.
He leaves to cherish his memory, a sister, Sherrell Dennard Cabassa; and a host of friends.
