Obituary of Margaret Caldwell Margaret La'trece Embry was born in Dallas, Texas, September 13, 1961, to Rosville Sr. and Elsa Embry. She received her early education in the Wilmer Hutchins School District. She attended junior high school at John XXIII and later attended and graduated from Bishop Dunne High School in 1979, Dallas, Texas. After high school, Margaret attended Tyler Junior College and Texas Women's University where she received a Bachelor of Science, in Early Education with a minor in Art. In 1984, Margaret married Gregory Caldwell. They were blessed with two children, Christopher Elliott and Anjelica Felece. Margaret served as a pillar of strength and role model for her children as she nurtured and provided for them. In addition to being a devoted wife and loving Mom, Margaret unselfishly extended the same type of devotion and love to countless family members, friends, church family, and coworkers. At the pinnacle of exhibiting her resounding love and devotion was her dedication to answering her life's calling-education. Margaret's passion unyieldingly surrounded her desire to teach. She graciously served the Dallas Independent School District for 19 years. In addition to teaching, Margaret also spearheaded the school organization, Girl Power, at Arthur Kramer and W. W. Bushman Elementary Schools reflecting her gift and true commitment to impact the lives of young girls. Whether touching the lives of children in the classroom, sharing a biblical truth with a Sunday school class, guiding her Girl Scout troop, or rendering advice to a friend, Margaret conveyed an ability to interactively teach beyond compare. Her triumph in teaching has left a memorable, meaningful, and cherished legacy for all who found themselves learning under her tutelage. In her own words, Margaret recently expressed, "Knowing that I am shaping the lives of the next generation is beyond my wildest dreams." Margaret served Glendale Presbyterian Church in various capacities for over thirty years. She enjoyed serving as deacon, Sunday school teacher, Christian education committee member, and choir member with the Glendale Voices of Praise. Margaret also chaired and presented church programs which became much more than your average event. Her special programs will always be remembered for the EXTRAVAGANZA's they were. Another treasured joy for Margaret was being "Nani" to her four adorable grandchildren, Xavier, Jamarian, Christopher Jr. and Laylah. Her happiness overflowed with delight and pleasure as she fulfilled this fostering role. Margaret is lovingly survived by her children, Christopher Caldwell (Brion) and Anjelica Caldwell; four grandchildren; sister, Felecia Embry Davis (Albert); aunt, Margaret Blacknall, two uncles, Dr. Robert Brown and Dean Brown; and a cast of wild and crazy cousins and host of other relatives and friends.
