On behalf of the Bey Family of Hyannis, Massachusetts, on Cape Cod We express our sincere sympathy to all of Dr. Michael Fords family and friends, He knew not a stranger. My mother Eva Young was one of his most favorite relatives. He often spoke about the love she showed for her family in Louisiana traveling alone to visit them all the way from Massachusetts. When he became of age, he traveled all the way up there to see and spend quality time with her. 2 Corinthians 5:6-8 King James Version (KJV). 6 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: 7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) 8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. She passed the baton of love to Michael, he carried it all over the world!

Dr. Ford, was a teacher at HSHP my 4 years there(84-88). I never took his class, but he was always there with words of encouragement, whether on stage at an assembly or just while passing classes in the halls. He was always the same, and was really funny too.. Rest in Peace, your race is now over......

To one of my favorite teachers in high school....Theater Arts and Debate. This dynamic educator set the bar high for all of his students. Helped me to thrive as a public speaker and grow even more confident in making my voice be heard. Encouraged my journey long after graduation. I too joined him in pouring into the future. I am a career educator....27 years of service to youth. I remember the last time I was home...we had breakfast and he said to me that he knows that the business of educating the future is in good hands. Dr. Ford, I will miss you with all of my heart. Many people have taught me how to live; however, my friend and brother, Dr. Michael G. Ford, has taught me how to die with dignity. I watched him,via Facebook, surround himself with people whom he loved. He had them fill his home with the music of the church. What a beautiful way to end an earthly life and transition to an enternal life! What a fellowship!
