Obituary of Marke Toles Toles, Rev Marke Twain Toles Rev. Marke Twain Toles was born October 13, 1919, in Calvert, Texas to Mark T. Toles Sr. and Minnie Robertson Toles. He attended W. D. Spigner High School in Calvert, Texas. He attended Bishop College in Marshall, Texas receiving a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education and a Master's Degree in Education & Administration. Post graduate work was done at University of Wisconsin and Alverno College in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He was the pastor of the Second Baptist Church in Kenosha, Wisconsin from 1963 to 1980. He served of the pastor of Bethany Missionary Baptist Church from July 1, 1981 until his retirement in October of 1992. History recorded that under his administration, Bethany's final payment for a new sanctuary was made. He encouraged all people to "Be the Best That You Can Be." He was always a phone call away and always had a helping hand for those in need. His ongoing promotion of Christian responsibilities, academics, leadership and "Keeping Life Reasonably Simple" was his trademark.
