Stephen R. Miller was born on September 8, 1960, to the parentage of Harold Milton and Jacqueline Miller in Columbia, South Carolina. The family then moved to Dallas, Texas, where he received his formal education in the Dallas County Public Schools.
Stephen accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age, and was a member of the Friendship West Baptist Church. He united in marriage to the former Shunder Nelson. Stephen was a truck driver by profession.
Mr. Miller passed on away April 1, 2019. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Milton; mother, Jacqueline M. Wilson; and two stepbrothers, Phillip Lee and Adrian Lee.
He leaves to cherish his life’s memories: wife, Shunder N. Miller; two daughters, Shamona L. Jackson Gonzales (Melisa) and Siporia M. White (Wesley); two sons, Kevin Threadgill (Kachina) and Quentin Nelson (Gabrielle); four stepsons, Robert Nelson, Steve, Mark, and Rodney Rollins; one stepdaughter, Tabitha Rollins; four brothers, Loren Miller, Ulysses, Robert, and Kenneth Eldridge; three sisters, Careita M. Miller, Siporia M. Roseman and Retelia E. Milton; granddchildren, Jayden, Detorria, Kayla Jackson-Gonzales, Nina, Tershan, Patrice Jackson, Angel, Davin Jackson-Gonzales, Shomaria Richardson, Dekayla, Siani Simpson, Kevin Jr., Detaveon, Asia, Kadeja, Tashara, and Ashton Threadgill, and Aiden, Khloe, Byron, Camille, and Quentin Nelson, Jr.; one aunt, Barbara M. Rucker (Lawrence); one great-granddaughter, Alicia Martinez; four cousins, Anita, Audra, Melva Miller, and Amber Cade; 34 nieces and nephews; 20 great-nieces and great-nephews; 12 great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews; his longtime partner, Pamela Edwards; best friends, Homer, Bobby, Big Steve, and Big Don; and a host of other relatives and friends.
