As an employee here at the funeral home, it is especially heart warming that Ms. Louise purchased her preneed arrangement many years ago, here at Black and Clark. That is such a loving gesture that saves the family from unnecessary grief. Ms. Louise was my mother's best friend when I was a little girl in the 60's. I am not sure how far back their relationship went. I remember asking my mother, (Lillie), why she did not speak to her best friend everyday like I did with my best friend. My mother lovingly responded that "absence makes the heart grow fonder."
