Obituary of Harold Walker Harold Walker, age 90, of Carrollton, Texas died Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital, Plano, Texas. Mr. Walker was born in Oakwood, Texas, the son of the late Charlie and the late Lyndoll (Horn) Walker. He served his country in the United States Navy and was Honorably discharged. Harold was the first African American employed by the City Of Dallas as an Electrical Building Inspector, a position he for over 25 years. Upon the death of his uncle Clarence Walker, Harold became the owner of Harold Walker's Electric Company. Harold was a member of Munger Avenue Baptist Church for 63 years where he served as a Deacon. Also, Harold was a Mason. Calling hours will be Monday, November 2, 2009 from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM at Black And Clark Funeral Home, 2517 E. Illinois Ave, Dallas, Texas. The funeral service will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at Munger Avenue Baptist Church, 3919 Munger Ave., Dallas, Texas with Rev. W. C. Davis officiating. Burial will be in Restland Memorial Park.
