Obituary of Rosalind Smith Rosalind Penell Smith, age 60, of Garland, TX died Monday, October 19, 2009 at Dallas Regional Medical Center in Mesquite, TX. Mrs. Smith was born in Dallas, TX the daughter of the late Ben Carl and the late Willie Novella (Coates) Smith. She served her country and was honorably discharged from the United States Army. She was employed by the Veterans Administration Hospital of North Texas as a Medical Lab Tech. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2009 at Black And Clark Funeral Chapel, 2517 E. Illinois Ave. A private burial will take place at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.
