Obituary of Jewerllean Q Anderson

Jewerllean Anderson was born on February 21, 1943, in Linden, Texas, to the parentage of Welton Allen and Viola Green-Allen. They both preceded her in death. Jewell was a graduate of Fairview High School and accepted Christ at an early age. She was a longtime, faithful member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Fairfield, Texas. On September 4, 1959, she married Jerry Anderson, who preceded her in death. To this union, six children were born: Garry Rollins (Carla) of DeSoto, Texas, Sandra Wright (Garry) of Dallas, Texas, Jacqulyne Anderson of Lancaster, Texas, Jerry Anderson, Jr., of Dallas, Texas, Kennedy Anderson (Benita) of Lancaster, Texas, Cecilia Anderson (who preceded her in death), and Fredrick Anderson of Dallas, Texas. Jewell was employed by VNA for five years and later became a homemaker. She loved to cook, sing, read, sew, and work crossword puzzles. She was dedicated to her family and she touched the hearts of many. At Mt. Zion, she was Senior Choir Director and President of the Deaconess Board. She took pride in everything she did, and she was filled with laughter and love. On January 14, 2018, Jewerllean Anderson entered into eternal rest with her family by her side. Preceding her in death is her sister, Jeanette McFail. Left to cherish her memory are her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Wellean Jones of Los Angeles, California; a special aunt, Minnie Brooks of Fort Worth, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, cousins, and friends.
