Obituary of D. Willis
D. C. Willis, age 86, of Dallas, TX, died June 1, 2009 at VA North Texas Health Care System.
Mr. Willis was born in Rusk, TX, Cherokee County, son of the late John and the late Laura (Henderson) Willis. He served in the United States Army from 1943 to 1946 during World War II and was honorably discharged. Mr. Willis retired after 27 years as a Truck Driver for International Harvester. Also Mr. Willis was founder of Willis Cleaners and Willis Jumpsuits Company. Calling hours will be Wednesday, June 10, 2009 from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at Black And Clark Funeral Home, 2517 E. Illinois Ave, Dallas, TX. The homegoing service will be Thursday, June 11, 2009, 11:00 AM at St. John Missionary Baptist Church, 2600 Marsalis Ave., Dallas, TX. Burial will be at DFW National Cemetery.
