Obituary of Cassie Mae Isaac

*Mrs. Cassie Mae Starr-Isaac born July 29, 1920 in Kilgore, Texas to the parents of Mr. Willie Starr and Mrs. Daisy Moss-Starr, the youngest of four daughters (Evie Mae Pruitt, Victoria Roberson, and Ora Beatrice King) who all preceded her in death.
*Mrs. Isaac was educated in Starr-Bailey School System in Kilgore, Texas graduated with the highest honors of her high school class. She graduated from Prairie View A and M University with a Bachelor degree in Homemaking and a Master’s degree in Elementary Education.
*Retiring in 1979, she served 40 plus years in the New London, Plano, Garland, Wilmer-Hutchins, and Dallas Independent School Districts additionally she served as a substitute teacher for the Dallas ISD for more than 15 years.
*She was a member of Cedar Crest C.M.E. Cathedral for more than 15 years; serving faithfully until her health begin to fail her in 2003. She served as a member of the Mission Society and the Outreach Ministries for over 30 years. Additionally, she served the Church of the Living God, PGT for 20 years with her husband during his years as a Pastor and Minister.
*Mrs. Isaac was a member of the Retired Teachers Association of Dallas, Retired Homemaking Teacher of Dallas, Prairie View A and M University Alumni Association, and Glenview Neighborhood Watch Association. She supported many local and national organizations which provided services to Veterans, the homeless, needy children, and various health initiatives.
*She was married for over 35 years to the Bishop Adolphus Isaac who preceded her in death.
*She leaves to reflect upon her memories her daughter, Dr. Deborah Isaac-Hopes; grand-daughters, Ms. April Starr Hopton-McGriff and Ms. Krystal Yvette Hopton; great-grand daughters, Jasmyne Amber and Jayla Antonia Ann McGriff; great-grand, son Draylin J’Quintin McGriff; nieces: Bobbie Yates, Sandra Yates (Jesse),Donna Randolph, Dora Harris (Williams) Peggy Portley (Richard);nephews: Larry King (Vanessa),Deron Isaac( Lesli) and Duane Isaac (Monica), one sister-in-law, Ruth Isaac (Lawrence); 16 great nephews and nieces plus host of great-great nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
