Obituary of Hubert Lee Maloney

Hubert Lee Maloney was born on July 11, 1942 to the parents of Hubert Maloney, Sr. and Metra Mae Higgs of Wichita Falls, TX. He began his formal education in the Dallas Public Schools System and graduated from Lincoln High School. In 1963, Hubert united in marriage to Eva Jean Hare; to this union two children were born, a son-Ronald Dewayne and daughter- Valencia Revette. They were married for 50 years before Eva preceded her death in June 2013. Hubert was a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. He also enjoyed his four grandchildren and seven great-grand- children. Hubert was a lifelong member of Good Street Baptist Church and served under the leadership of the late C.A.W. Clark and present leadership of Dr. Eddie L. Jenkins. He served as a faithful deacon for many years until his failing health issues. On February 4, 2019, Hubert peacefully departed his earthly residence and arrived safely at his eternal divine residence with God’s open arms. He was preceded in death by his wife Eva, son Ronald, parents Hubert Maloney and Metra Mae Higgs and brother Ralph Maloney. He leaves to cherish his loving memories to daughter, Valencia Revette, four grandchildren, Brandon Robinson (Melinda), Kendrick Robinson (Christina), Shontrice Rabago (Jorge) and Rhonda Maloney, seven great- grandchildren Naryah, Saniyah, Julius, Ariana, Ajalina, Kendrick Jr. (KJ) and Bailey, one brother, Franklin Maloney (Helen), one sister Nancy Sutherland, brother-in-law, Nathaniel Hare, (Geneva), sister-in-law, Felecia Hare. He is also survived by a special aunt, Marie Douglas (Welton), numerous nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and dear friends.
