The death of someone you love is one of life’s greatest tragedies but the God who comforts all who mourn help to sustain you during this most difficult time, as you await the fulfillment of Gods promise to be reunited with your loved one again (John 6:40)

To Janis, Mansell, Jr., and Dominique: I offer to each of you my sincerest, heartfelt condolence in the lost of your husband and father. I remember him as a great percussionist, but, as an even greater human being. My prayer is that God will continue to strengthen you in the days and years ahead. Yours in Christ, Margaret Sherrod

Mr Fridia my heart is still at an awe feeling, the most kind and smooth, supportive man I've ever met. Your most memorable statement to me don't worry about messing up in the dance, just enjoy the music and dance and I did just that. Thank you for always being so supportive of the Elephant Room. I will always save a parking for you up front wherever I go. Rest sir rest.

Mansell and I were in the management program at Sears in the mid seventies. Since I was a Grambling grad and he was a PV grad I started calling him SWAC. I've long since left Dallas but we talked at least once a week during the NFL season. He was the most even tempered person I knew. He never allowed excitement or disappointment to rule his emotions. He will be greatly missed by not just his family, but all whose life he touched. GOD CALLED HIS DRUMMER HOME.

I always called him Friday. We met at Prairie View A&M University while playing in the band. I also brought him over as a pledge in Kappa Kappa Psi band fraternity. We have been brothers since. I would always look forward to seeing him and the group at homecoming. I will miss that. May peace be with him as he starts a journey that we all will make some day. Please find some comfort that he is home now.

I was blessed to meet Mansell Fridia during our days at Prairie View A&M University where we were members of the Brotherhood of Club Crescendo. He was a talented musician and a great friend. Janis, please know that we are praying for you and the children during this time. God never makes a mistake, and He called Mansell to be with Him. We will continue to lift up the family as Mansell makes his glorious transition.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends. Please remember that you are never alone. Jehovah will be there for you. The family and friends will be there for you with true love, and words of comfort. All mankind is moaning, groaning, because of the stresses, sickness, injustices, the belittlement of culture and then facing the greatest adversary, the enemy of all, Death! Help me. Help us. God's Word the Bible promises our love ones will be resurrected. How comforting it is to know that Jehovah, the God of all comfort, will eliminate all grief and provide permanent consolation when “all those in the memorial tombs will hear [Christ’s] voice and come out”! (John 5:28, 29) God promises that “he will do away with death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces.” (Isa. 25:8) Then, instead of having to “weep with those who weep,” all earth’s inhabitants will “rejoice with those who rejoice.” —Rom. 12:15.
