It is with great sadness and joy that I post to my late Father-in-laws page today. "Dad" as we affectionately called him; will TRULY be missed! He and I had a bond and an understanding that couldn't be shaken. He would always tease and say, Linda if I ever got into it with somebody and needed backup; I would call you, lol. Our bond was so strong; God called him home on my birthday...I know Dad had something to do with that:-) because as I knew...I was his favorite Daughter-in-Law (Ha Ha Sandra). Dad had a strong spirit; but a loving and giving heart. One of the things that I loved most about him was that he loved us all and we knew it and he always wanted his Children, Grands, Great-Grands on down to other Family members and Friends to gather; he always wanted us around and that was heartwarming. I will miss his smile and his infectious laugh; if something tickled Dad; he would laugh so hard; you couldn't help but to also. If we needed anything as his Children; all we had to do was utter the words and it was done. He never was going to allow us to want for anything al long as he had breath in his body. He showed affection to us and it was reciprocated. The years that he was away from us; God Blessed me to be his personal barber and my Husband, Corky and I was also able to go visit with him every Sunday; even when I didn't feel well myself; to God be the Glory! My Husband is his Father's namesake; which he wears with Pride! My life has truly been Blessed because of Dad and I will miss him; but thankful to God that he is finally resting in his loving warms.
