Traci Mooring I had the pleasure of knowing Mrs. Champion while following the instructions of great leadership in teaching while I was going to college. Mrs. Champion always encouraged me as well as Mrs. Jonnie V. Hurd two great women that will be truly missed. I was the youngest out the group, She taught me patience among the children. She will be missed very much.

It is with profound emotion that I share these memories of Mrs. Champion with you. I don’t know where to start because I have so many good memories of Mrs. Champion.
I met Mrs. Champion through her daughters, Lori and Rachel. I had the honor to play an Educational part in both of their lives. I could not have ask for a better Parent and friend. She was very cooperative, supportive and very positive. She also served as a mother figure to my daughter, Kimberly, who was a friend of Rachel. I knew that my daughter was in good hands when she was with Mrs. Champion, because she treated her like her own daughter.
I also had the opportunity to work with her as a supportive mother of my Sorority when she allowed her daughters to participate in our Miss Blue Revue Scholarship Pageant of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. She expressed her appreciation for the opportunity. There are so many more good things that I could say about this Christian Woman, “So May the Work She’s Done Speak For Her.” Thank God that He allowed our paths to cross!!!
To the entire family, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart ,soul and mind; lean not to your own understanding, acknowledge Him and He will direct your Path”. Proverbs 3: 5-6
I pray that God will give you the strength, comfort and peace, that only He can give.

My sincere condolences to the family,
Ms. Ethel Champion, my first grade teacher was nothing more than amazing and a great influence in my life. She looked out for me throughout my years in elementary school and she kept an eye on me into college. I have a great respect and love for her because she ensured me and my sister, Briana had an opportunity to be successful. I will never forget Ms. Champion and the many life lessons she taught me.
