Erica Warfield posted a condolence
Sunday, April 25, 2021
The Warfield's extend our deepest condolences to the Woods family. There are so many scriptures that my aunt embodied. However, the two that are amplified in my mind the most are James 1:19 and Titus 2:7. Unlike others, my aunt was always quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry. She was an example of doing good works of every kind. Everything she did reflected integrity and sincerity.
I am thankful that she took her role of being my mother’s oldest sister seriously and she continued to be a shining light to her throughout their entire lives, even when others would cast darkness. I am also truly grateful for all the opportunities I had to sit down and talk with her when no one else was present. She had a comedic side to her personality that most people didn't see that was absolutely hilarious. Her physical presence will definitely be missed and I will cherish those memories forever. Evan and I will miss sharing our catch of the day with her after fishing and smoking her favorite sausage on the bbq grill, taking it to her, seeing her smile and hearing her say, "Thank ya'll for bringing my dinner".
I wouldn't have thought 7 months ago when my mother transitioned that her oldest sister would soon be called as well. Cousins, you will have good days and not so good days. But God through Jesus Christ will comfort you. Oftentimes, people resume their routines and quickly forget about the bereaved. Please know that we will continue to pray for you all, as well as reach out. May God bless you with His Peace and His Strength in the days to come.
Erica & Evan
