Condolences to Allison , Melva, and other family. Cordie was an inspiration to me growing up in Amarillo. She. was one of first African Americans to attend Amarillo Junior College, she was always dressed beautifully and exquisitely to the nines. She was a leader in the Young Matrons Club, which was under the direction of my Mother, Velma Collier Marshburn at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Cordie was an excellent speaker, organizer,activist and friend. Rest in Peace!!! Rest in Power!!! My beautiful Cordie Rose. You are now a rose in God's garden of eternity.
