I recall Mr. Hudson representing me as a young man for something my brother did and I did not. He slapped me on the shoulder as I was sentenced to 10 years in prison and told me hey man that’s life suck it up…I was appalled and heart broken I had a 6 month child at home and told him he was going home to his children and I was not ….his response life wasn’t fair and briskly walked away smh…………He knew I was innocent but didn’t care one iota

I was sad to learn of Sam's passing. As a labor leader in Dallas I interacted and became friends with Sam. He was a stalwart in standing up for working people. Once Sam gave you his word on an issue, you never had to look back. One of the most pleasant and kind people I've ever met. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family.
