Prayers for the Peters family! Sending comfort and strength your way. Coach Pete was the AD when I was an athlete and also when I coached at SOC! I will forever remember him calling people “ugly” and laughing! I loved him and every time I went to Ellis Davis stadium I made sure to speak and call him “old man!” He will be truly missed. Love you old man

I met Coach Edmond Peters in 1991. He and I worked on the first floor at Smith High School for many years until he retired. My daughter Jennifer Brown was in his class. All the students, colleagues and parents seemed to have loved and respected him. I viewed him as a very well-organized knowledgeable teacher. He was strict but kind. He truly left a lasting impression on all who crossed his path. He only went to sleep. He will awaken when the trumpets sound. Cry if you must, but not as though there is no hope. For eternal life was offered to all when they tabernacle on this earth. May He Rest In Peace.
